According to the Investment News, Beginning in 2010, membership in NAPFA will be required to be a Certified Financial Planner certificant. Currently, 86% of NAPFA members are CFP certificants.
NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Planners, is the nation's leading organization dedicated to the advancement of fee-only comprehensive financial planning. Even before the CFP requirement, NAPFA held the highest membership standards of any association in the industry.
The founders of Trovena, Scott Leonard and Christopher VanSlyke are actively involved with NAPFA. Scott is the President of the Western Region and Christopher is the Vice-President.
